Chengyu Lu is currently pursuing an MFA in Film Directing at Columbia College Chicago. He obtained his bachelor's degree in Drama, Film, and Television Literature from the Communication University of China.

 

As a screenwriter, his works include the feature film "Taste Detective" and short films "Far Above the Starry Sky" and "Japanese Orphan". His works have been shortlisted for the Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers Film Festival (China's Academy Award), Tokyo Shorts Film Festival, Asians On Film Festival of Shorts, and the Silk Road International Film Festival. He has also received the Remy Silver Award at the 53rd WorldFest-Houston International Film Festival for his screenwriting.
